Applications: In addition to requiring GMAT scores, MBA programs will require your undergraduate and any graduate transcripts. Schools may also require letters of recommendation, a resume with work experience and one or more essays. Additionally, some schools will require that you interview with admissions personnel or alumni.

Work Experience: Many MBA programs suggest that you have significant work experience prior to applying. Be sure to check the admissions material and website of any school to which you are applying to get an idea of what that particular school is looking for.

Essays: MBA applications will typically require you to write one or several essays. These will vary from school to school and consequently each application may take a substantial amount of time to complete.
